The RuNz
The RuNz is a third-person runner with a humorous idea and, at the same time, quite challenging: the character has to reach the bathroom before time runs out. The game is divided into two chapters, each having its own theme, and it contains 7 levels of progressive difficulty. With every passing moment, the fart effects and noises become more and more evident to signal when your character will have his "accident" if he does not complete the level in time. Quirkiness in the game escalates tension and racing against the clock to keep players engaged.
This game was developed using Unreal Engine 5, along with other valuable software, all of which help aid for detailed environments, realistic lighting effects, and animations. For the sounds, custom effects and music use Ableton in order to enhance gameplay with an immersive and playful atmosphere. For character animations and assets, The RuNz uses Mixamo for animation blueprints, while for sourcing 3D models, Sketchfab is used; all this makes the game look polished. As the head developer and project coordinator, I oversee everything done within this project to ensure that these tools work in cohesion while optimizing the game for iOS compatibility.
